How to Play GRENADE!

SETUP

Each Player will be dealt 5 cards and one of the dice

The remaining cards will be placed in the middle of the playing area.

Pro Tip: Players should always have 5 cards in their hand. After your turn, draw cards from the middle to replinish your hand to 5.

Rule: You cannot draw cards from the discard pile

Begin the game with the youngest player and move clockwise.

GAMEPLAY

Each card has a different attribute. Read below to see how you can play each card:

 GUNS

Guns are marked with a range on the card. This represents the options for people you are allowed to shoot on your turn.

Rule: You can only calculate shooting ranges TO YOUR LEFT. Example: A gun with a range of 2 means that you can choose to shoot either the person directly to your left, or the person two people to your left.

Pro Tip: The sniper can reach any Player in the game

BULLETS

Bullets must be played with guns in order to fire a shot at an opponent. You can choose any opponent of your choice depending on the range of your gun.

Rule: To fire a bullet at another player, play the gun and bullet together in the discard pile while stating who you decide to shoot.

ProTip: Two or more bullets of the same color can be played in the same turn.

Each bullet will take a life from your opponent. These shots can be split between two opponents if your gun range allows it. You only need one gun to shoot multiple bullets in one turn.

SHIELDS

Shields are the most common way to avoid being hit by a bullet. When someone fires towards you, you can choose to play a shield to keep your life.

ProTip: Be sure to pick up a card from the middle after playing a shield.

Rule: If someone shoots more than one bullet towards you in a turn, you only need one shield to block all bullets.

GRENADES

Grenades are the most powerful card in the game. When a Grenade is played, everyone besides the wielder of the card will lose a life

Rule: Shields cannot block the blow of a Grenade

ProTip: The only way to avoid the devistation of a Grenade is to play another Grenade on top of the originally played Grenade. The person who plays the last Grenade in a turn will not lose a life. However, all other players will lose 1 life.

Rule: A Grenade can also be used to block a bullet. The Grenade is used as a shield, but also all other players will lose a life due to the powerful blow of the Grenade.

DISCARD

If you do not have a play, or want to add something different to your deck, you may discard one of your cards for a card from the deck only during your turn. This transaction will complete your turn.

Rule: You cannot pick up cards from the discard pile

DICE

The custom dice are simply designed to represent how many lives each player has. Start the game with 5 tally’s facing up. When a life is lost during gameplay, the player will rotate their dice to the correlating number of their remaining lives. When a player is eliminated they will face the sixth side of the dice up.

Once eliminated, the player will be removed from the count of the range your gun can reach.

Example: The player to your left has been emiminated. The player that was originally two ranges away will now only be one.

Rule: When the deck of cards is running low, re-shuffle the discard pile and add them to the drawing pile.

WINNING

In order to win the game, you must be the last player standing. Once all other players are eliminated, you have won and get to go first in the next game.
